Rent and Revenues is now handled the same as the other standard patches, see Housing or Income...
The patch changes for Rents & Revenues is handled differently from other patch changes.
Rents & Revenues patches:
- Are only Functional Units and not Asset Characteristics.
- Are made up of one or more Income Officer patches
Prerequisites:
When the request arrives, make sure that the information supplied contains both Rents & Revenues Functional Unit names and Income Officer information. Here is a cut down example of a previous request.

Review the information provided an carry out the following checks:
- Income patch numbers match up the the name supplied - check the lookup table for Income Officer in CX
- All 'filled' Income patches are assigned to a Rents & Revenues patch (empty Income patches can be ignored)
- All the Rents & Revenues patch names exist as Functional Units in the system
Actions:
These changes are all carried out in CX.
- Make the required changes to the Rent and Revenues Functional Units
- Use the Quick Menu to search for Functional Units
- Open the Functional Unit Definition page
- Use the Search Functional Units box to search for revenue, this should return all the R&R Functional Units
- Select the first FU that needs changing
- Double click the Criteria row to get to the Add Criteria Step 1 window, click Next
- This takes you to the criteria selection screen, see below:
- Firstly remove the current condition by highlighting the Condition line and selecting the Remove button

Secondly add the new set of Income patches
- Click the Add Field button and select Asset in the first field and AssetCharacteristic_Income_officer in the second field
- Click the Add Operator button and select IN
- Click the Add Value button and select all the Income patches that needs to included in the R&R patch
- Click Add button
- You will then see a window like this below, with one line red and about to be removed and the other line green which is the new one you have entered.
- Click Save
- Check the criteria now matches the income patch list you have been given for the R&R patch
- Repeat for each of the R&R functional units.
Note: The Assets will be updated with any R&R functional unit changes overnight, when the FUs are re-evaluated.
