The next financial year is entered before the end of the previous financial year.

Enter in CX Test by end of January

Allow finance to test in February

Enter in CX Live by end of February


In CX:

  1. Search Calendars in the Quick Access Menu in the top right of the screen and select the Repair Finance Period Calendar under Repairs>Configuration.
  2. Select finance calendar from the left hand pane menu.
  3. Select New Period.
  4. Add the following details in the Service Charge Calendar Period window: (Screenshot below for guidance)
    • Frequency: Monthly
    • Number of periods: 12
  5. Select Confirm. 
  6. The next step is to fill in the Finance period field for each of the twelve periods that have been created.  Look at a previous year's periods to see what values need to be entered, example below:
    • The finance period is made up of the finance year and the finance month.  The finance year starts in April 
    • For the period Apr 01 2024 - Apr 30 2024, the finance year = 2025 and finance month = 01, so finance period = 202501
  7. For each new period, select the period.
  8. Add the Finance period: (Screenshot below for guidance)
    • e.g. Finance period: 202501
  9. Once all 12 periods are updated, the new entries should look like this: (with the appropriate year that you are working on)
  10. Select Save in the top right of the screen.
