- Reboot the Laptop - this to make sure outlook will not be running when removing the profile
- Go to control panel, by clicking on the start button and then typing control panel in and then click on it.
- Click on User Accounts
- Click on Mail (Microsoft Outlook)
- In bottom section click Show Profiles...
- Now there should only be one profile and by default it should be called Outlook. Now select the profile/s by click on it and and then click Remove, make sure there are none left, then click OK.
- Now reboot your laptop again, when you reopen outlook it will work but it will ask you for a name for the new outlook profile just call it anything even Outlook again will work. Let Outlook sync and you can see the status of that on the bottom bar. (see below)
